Meeting on 5/7/2012
What an awesome meeting!
Guests: It was very exciting to see the new faces at the club! Everyone is welcome back!Bring your ideas and suggestions!!!
Relay for Life June 8th and 9th:Rhonda spoke to us about needing photo assistance at Relay. Coverage could be used for both days. Most importantly team pictures need to be taken on the 8th at 7:00pm. A printed 5x7 picture of each team needs to be provided by Saturday morning. If you can do this, please let Rhonda know. Contact Rhonda: sledhockeymom67@gmail.com
Composition workshop: Mike Mitchell put on a very nice presentation for the club. We learned about rule of thirds, leading lines, positioning subjects, shapes/patterns and other helpful ideas for composition. Mike was able to critique members pictures and give feedback. It was a great learning event for all.
Survey results: Attached is a copy of the survey if you did not get to fill one out and want to comment - please email me Most people are wanting to learn more about using the functions of their cameras.Field trips and workshops.Everyone responded positive to the emails that have been sent out. Those will continue, if later any concerns please let me know.Someone replied they would like to participate in helping with functions of the club. Please contact me and let me know what you would like to do.Thank you for your support! Everyone agreed on a monthly due. At our next meeting lets discuss how we would like to handle this.

Notes from meeting 3/5/12
Guests: Welcome Jan and Barb
Business Expo: Everyone agreed the business expo went well and was a success.
New meeting place: We have determined that we need a new place to meet. Once the place has been finalized we will contact everyone. Plans are in the works, waiting for approval.
April meeting: During our normal meeting time the school will be closed for spring break. Our alternative we maybe doing a field trip to Photo Evo. Everyone will be updated when plans are finalized.
Photo shoot winners: We had two winners from the business expo. These people are receiving gift certificates. Time and place will be determined after talking to winners.
Facebook: Chris will be creating a Facebook page for the club.
Sparta events/Venue: With all the community events planned, this is a great oppurtinity for the club to get out and take pictures.Camera club members will (based on individual availablity) cover these events. A few examples would be: The Holy Family Catholic Church is hosting a Special needs prom on 4/28/12 @ 6:30 Concerts in the park Sparta Town and Country days
Misc: Some great ideas were discussed in the meeting. More to come................
